A week or two ago I went to the salon with my boyfriend to get a perm - again. This constant perming and unperming of my hair is getting very expensive. After I was done in the salon, by which time my boyfriend was thoroughly bored, we decided to go out for a cup of coffee. Now, like any girl I love a good cup of joe, and what better place to go than here, The Hudson Cafe in downtown Detroit:
If you're ever in Detroit and you crave a good cup of coffee along with a pleasant atmosphere, look The Hudson Cafe up, it's a great place.
Now, back to the serious business of fashion. If you look back at my previous two posts, you might find this outfit very familiar. I decided to make a teensy change and I substituted Casadei patent over the knee boots for the Gianvito Rossi boots. A bit disappointed with these Casadeis. Remember what I said about Pleasers? Yep, hate to say it, but I think this pair of Casadei boots are a little short on quality, but not in the heel height department. They have a 14cm metal stiletto heel but a hidden platform. In case you don't know, a hidden platform is just a platform that has the upper part of the boot or shoe extended over the thick sole all the ways to the bottom. So you don't get that crease at the juncture between the sole and upper part. They look almost like stilettos with a normal sole. I didn't pay much for these boots, got them at Alexpress.com for a great price, and I decided to keep them in spite of the quality issues.
The other big difference is the outfit I'm modeling has different belts than any of the Polyvore sets. Just couldn't get this darn clipper from Polyvore to clip the stuff I wanted to my likes, oh well.
Yep, two belts. The top one is cinched tight around the waist and the lower one is hugging my hips. The arrangement in the photo is good, and as I walked or sat I noticed the lower belt would move to a different position. Even though there are some belts that are similar, almost, to this two belt combination, I don't think they could duplicate this two belt look. I'm loving this hat and getting so much wear out of it. It's a bit resort wearish and not quite what most people think of boho but it's working for me.
And speaking of work, Buddy had to leave me early to go to his job on a Sunday, poor him. He didn't leave me stranded, however, since we took two cars.
That's it for now, drop by again for more good stuff. Don't forget to look me up on Polyvore and vote for me if you get a chance.
Catchya later.
Ciao.
