I compared my Blogger posts and Google+ posts and noticed that when I announce a new Naomi's Fashionable World post on Google+, that my description there might make it difficult to find the post on my blog. So I'm going to try to do better. Sorry if you had any problems, it was my mistake and it was not intentional.
Well, that's out of the way, so now back to the business of fashion. I was looking through some of my old photos the other day, and I noticed these photos here on my blog, in this post. I decided to whip up a Polyvore set illustrating them further. Usually it's the other way around, I do a Polyvore set then I buy the clothes, model them whatever. Not all of my Polyvore sets make it on to Blogger because I might not be happy with the way the set looks, or I can't afford the clothes, or most often it's simply because it's so much easier to make a Polyvore set than to model the clothes, photo myself, or rather get myself photographed, and then get one of these posts up on Blogger.
Anyway, back to the subject of the current photos, there from when I was a sophmore at MSU and from another blog I had which was discontinued for reasons that...well, let's get back to the photos.
The photos illustrate a typical day here at MSU. Set the scene for the first one: I went to my communications course and during class my professor announced that he would like to see me in his office after class. My first thoughts were: uhoh, what did you get yourself into this time Naomi? And I started feeling just a little bit uncomfortable because some of the other students were looking at me, and then I thought to myself hey, you're getting good grades Naomi, what could possibly have gone wrong.
I get to my professor's office. My hand about to grab his office door's doorknob. I take a deep breath. I open the door. "You wanted to see me, professor?" Him: "Yes, Naomi, please take a seat." And what happened was that he loved my paper for the class about the effect television reception has on broadcast TV viewership, and he wanted to talk to me further about it, and if I would mind if he included it in an undergraduate journal that he was editing. Would I mind? Of course not! I did get a little nervous, however, while he gave me the old one two about certain aspects of the paper, such as, the parts my boyfriend (he's such a genius) helped me on. I'm not quite as adept at statistical analysis as Buddy, and I didn't give him a citation in the paper - what would I have put for that: Boyfriend; help on statistics? Nope, but there's no worries, I could have asked a tutor for help at the student media center, too.
After a very stimulating conversation, my professor wanted to take a photo of me. My immediate thought was "OK, this is getting very weird, very fast." But, no, it was for the journal, he explained, so of course I wouldn't mind!
Now, I can't remember if the photo below is from before or after our little meeting or later in the day, nevertheless it illustrates the situation well:
Next stop, I met my boyfriend, we stopped for a bite at the nearest Sparty's, later visiting some mutual friends at their dorm. En route, Buddy snapped some shots of me for my the soon to be discontinued old blog. Here I am excitedly pointing out my new acquisition, a gorgeous pair of Casadei, thigh high, metal heel boots in luscious brown leather, that I bought on Aliexpress.com for less than 30 bucks:
Note: I am also sporting a pair of leather skinny jeans which were all the rage back then, and still are. Oh, how naive I was, not the savvy shopper I am today. I paid top dollar for the privilege of wearing such flattering beauties, when they could be had for much less if I knew then what I know now. I remember very well all I had to do to coax my mom to use her credit card. As they say hindsight is foresight, and moving on here's another look:I compared my Blogger posts and Google+ posts and noticed that when I announce a new Naomi's Fashionable World post on Google+, that my description there might make it difficult to find the post on my blog. If you're in school, I hope you're enjoying it and getting good grades; don't forget to do your homework, and if you're not in school, good luck with whatever you're pursuing.

What would you do if your boyfriend's father asked you out on a date? That was the conundrum facing me when Terry, my boyfriend's father, called me while I was between classes and asked me if I'd like to go to the movies with him. Well, it wasn't a "date" type date, but it still raised my eyebrows more than a little. Instead of being suspicious I saw it as another opportunity to model one of my latest outfits. Even though I made a Polyvore set of it months ago:
The difference here is that I wore the Casadei patent hidden platform boots from the set in the post just prior to this post instead of the regular platform boots in this set. The polka dot pants from Farfetch are pretty nice but just too expensive at $97. I'm wearing a different top too: a Nastygal.com pinstripe top and a different hat as well. I couldn't find the top on Polyvore to make a new set with, so I'm freelancing here. So I guess you're wondering "how can you afford $700 plus boots?" I can't and they weren't $700, another alixpress.com sale item at less than $40.

The big question is: what movie did we go see? The Intern of course! Starring Anne Hathaway of course! I had a wonderful time with Terry and I think we found out more about each other as prospective father-daughter in laws.
Keep liking my contest and other sets on Polyvore, thanks! And if you haven't liked any yet, please do so, I need you're help, thanks again!
Catchya later.
Ciao.
