Got off work a while ago and thought I'd keep you guys up to date on how the Detroit Grand Prix is going. Well, it looks like you've caught me with my pants down again, figuratively, sort of. Don't have my own fashion update for the Grand Prix yet, don't worry it's coming, so we'll have to settle for these in the time being. So, to get you up to speed, and the Detroit Grand Prix is certainly the fast track, this post is all about working as a car girl, or promo girl, the official term.  To start off the big festival there was a bit of pomp and circumstance:

Some of the sponsoring corporations got into the act too:

This Continental gal wants to give you a free hat. The Pirelli girl team then distributed their sponsor's awards on the podium:

The toy car company, Traxxas, has been a fixture in a big way for the past few Detroit Grand Prix:

Even though the action is literally very fast paced, there's always a time to relax, and smile for the camera:

Well, back to work:

Turner motorsports and the body building supplement company, Gamma labs, are a good combo apparently. Some Grand Prix' have beauty pageants, too:
If there is a beauty contest at the Detroit Grand Prix, I didn't hear about it, nor could I find it on the schedule. The Grand Prix has not been without controversy:
I sympathize with these folks: who doesn't like a good protest march? Especially if it's for a good cause? Corporate greed is bad. Yet, if they had their way, I'd be out of a job, even if it's only a three day job. Truth be told, the Detroit Grand Prix ain't what it used to be. When you think Grand Prix, usually you
think Formula 1 racing, not stadium truck racing and Indy car time trials. Back in the '80's - that was before I was born! There was Formula 1 racing in Detroit. My only guess can be that ole, rundown, Detroit ain't exactly the glamorous hotspot it once was. What’s the point of addressing all of your shortcomings if you’re just going to go ahead and do the “wrong” thing anyway, right?  Which explains the focus of today's post, because being a car girl is about as much fashion as you can get around here.
Well, that's it for today. Don't forget to check back again for more fashion takes on the Detroit Grand Prix, and
look for my own, car girl shots in future posts.
Catchya later.
Ciao.
